Satellite Testing
How we did it
NASA needed to test the Mars Rover in December 2002 shortly before its launch and they came to us to supply a LDS V994 electro-dynamic system to qualify the mission readiness of the planetary explorer. Supplying up to 289 kN (65.00 lbf) of force, the LDS V994 system includes an integral 2.5 m x 3 m (98" x 118") slip-table with 20 hydrostatic bearings. It is one of the largest vibration tables in the world and provides the capabilities needed for vibration testing for the next generation of NASA spacecraft.
More details on the testing levels are available in the Declaration of Vibration Testing.
