Warranty and Extended Warranty Plans

Installation and commissioning services can be arranged to complement your own resources, giving you excellent control over expenditure. LDS engineers are highly skilled so you can be sure each installation is managed to meet the high quality assurance standards of ISO 9001.

For turnkey installations, where an LDS system incorporates other vendors’ instrumentation or equipment, we provide a total support package, utilising the services of approved specialist contractors. Long standing relationships with these contractors and management controls ensure all work is completed to our high quality standards, on time and on budget.

Our installation and commissioning service includes:

  • For water cooled systems we carry out a pre-installation check. The site survey will verify accommodation, floor loading, services, access and environmental conditions.
  • All aspects of the installation programme are carefully controlled by LDS personnel to make sure safety standards, operational requirements and pre-set deadlines are satisfied.
  • Your system is fully tested and commissioned before final hand-over. On-site operators’ training including first-line maintenance is given and you receive a certificate to verify final commissioning and basic operator training.
  • Each installation is fully documented. This is particularly important with respect to proving compliance with safety regulations and CE marking.

For safety reasons we recommend that all 3-phase vibration test systems are installed professionally by LDS approved engineers. Please note that your LDS warranty is only valid if the installation and commissioning are completed by LDS or an LDS approved representative.

Protecting your investment

All LDS vibration test systems come with a standard warranty covering parts* and labour. This runs for 12 months following commissioning or 15 months after shipment, whichever is the sooner. You can extend this initial warranty for air cooled systems with a standard extended warranty plan. For a fixed price, and a relatively small additional investment, you can extend cover for a further 12 or 24 months. This can be arranged at the time of your initial purchase or when standard warranty expires. Extended warranties are available for water cooled systems but these must be arranged by separate contract to take account of anticipated usage and applications.

Why Purchase Extended Warranty?

Extended Warranty is designed with the same care and attention to detail as your LDS system, so you’re opting for value for money and investment protection. For a fixed budget and fixed term you will be protected against failure and breakdown, and the relevant costs such downtime may cause. Extended Warranty gives you ‘preferred customer’ status. Guaranteeing your call will be treated as a priority. You have the added assurance that any repairs will be carried out by an approved engineer, in line with original quality and performance specifications and, where appropriate, in accordance with current safety regulations.

What does Extended Warranty Cover?

Extended Warranty is an unconditional warranty for a fixed price and period which covers parts and labour in the event of system failure or breakdown. LDS will respond to a warranty call and repair or replace parts, where necessary, within 48 hours. However, it does not cover routine system maintenance, or labour and parts required in the event of failure or breakdown due to operator error.

How do I take out Extended Warranty?

You can either arrange Extended Warranty at the time you purchase your system, or when standard warranty expires. LDS or its representative will automatically contact you and arrange additional cover if needed. You will receive a certificate as proof of Extended Warranty cover.

* Only standard plans are covered. Specially configured parts are not included. Where new spare pans are fitted they carry a 12 months guarantee and labour is guaranteed for 3 months.
